ABOUT

CMDA Rochester MN Student Chapter is a Christian community and Bible study for Mayo medical, physical therapy, and graduate students, as well as residents, nurses, and others in the Mayo community. People of all backgrounds are always welcome! We would like to welcome new students, residents, fellows, spouses, and others to Mayo! The CMDA Rochester MN Student Chapter is affiliated with the Christian Medical & Dental Association and sponsored locally by Trinity Presbyterian Church (PCA).

THE BASICS...

Who It's For:  
Mayo medical, physical therapy, and graduate students, as well as residents, nurses, and others in the Mayo community, including their spouses, significant others, and friends.

What Happens:  
Weekly Bibles studies, life groups, and monthly events for the Mayo Christian community.

Goal: 
Through weekly Bible studies, we are devoted to the study of scripture and prayer. As a Christian community, we join in fellowship with one another, worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and serve one another and the Mayo community with grace and mercy.

GROUPS

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24–25(ESV)

Weekly Bible Study: This group meets weekly to read and discuss scripture, pray and worship, and join in fellowship with one another. It is a great way to meet other Christian students within Mayo. All medical, physical therapy, and graduate students, as well as residents, nurses, and others in the Mayo community are welcome to join. Life Groups: Small groups of students who meet weekly for accountability, prayer and support.

Other Events...

Dinner With Docs...  
CMDA’s Dinner with Docs offers opportunities for dinner and fellowship to foster connections between students and Christian doctors at Mayo. These evenings are hosted in a physician’s home and offer great food and conversation amongst a group of students and faculty. In addition, this provides an amazing opportunity to build connections and learn from doctors of our faith, many of whom are involved in teaching and mentoring students on a more long term basis. Dinners are held roughly six times each year.
